
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum and Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan

Borno State House of Assembly has finally approved 20 Special Advisers for Governor Babagana Zulum following his executive request letter at the house valedictory session on Thursday.
The motion to approve the request was moved by the House Leader, Hon. Dige Muhammad, member representing Kala Balge, LGC State Constituency and was seconded by Hon. Ayuba Steven Wakawa , member representing Hawul LGC State Constituency
In his valedictory speech, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan, who presided over the house valedictory session sitting, appreciated the request and respect accorded the house members.
He also commended Governor Zulum for his cordial working relationship with the house throughout his first tenure in office that existed between the legislature and the executive arm of government in the state in the last 4 years.
However, the Honourable Speaker highlighted major achievements of the 9th Assembly to include passage of over 150 resolutions and assented to 45 bills during the house session.
Hon. Lawan further thanked the house members for their support and cooperation during his leadership in steering the affairs of the house while paying tribute to colleagues that lost their lives.
He prayed for success to all members who returned and even those that could not return to the house and Gods guidance in their daily endeavours as well successful 10th State Assembly and second term of Governor Zulum.
