First Lady pledges to champion course of Nigerian women, children

First Lady federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu has declared commitment of the Renewed Hope Initiative in championing the course of women and children in Nigeria .

A statement issued and signed by Kwapchi Bata Hamman, the SAP media & ICT, Office of the Vice President made available to Journalists in Maiduguri, said she made this known at the commissioning of the National Model Workplace Nursery School of the Federal Ministry Of Women in Abuja.

Represented by Wife of the Vice President Hajiya Nana Shettima . Sen Oluremi acknowledged the perseverance and dedication of working mothers as an inspiration.

The Work Place Nursery School according the Sen Oluremi Tinubu will serve as a foundation progress and promising future for our nation towards improved bonding between mothers and their children.

The school established in 2001 serving as preparatory ground for early childhood care , educational and recreational activity for chikdren was closed down in June 2011 after the police Headquarters bombing which affected the building.

13 years later, the facility was renovated by the Ministry of Women Affairs under Barrister Uju Kennedy -ohanenye as Minister.

The commissioned Workplace Nursery School was renamed after the wife of former head of State, Dr Mrs Victoria Gowon National Model Workplace Nursery.
