Prophet Ebo Noah had earlier claimed that God instructed him to construct an ark to save humanity from an imminent global disaster.
Self-acclaimed Ghanaian prophet, Ebo Noah, popularly known as Evans Eshun, has reportedly been taken into custody by operatives of the Ghana Police Service following controversy surrounding his failed end-time prophecy.
Information circulating widely on social media suggests that the arrest took place on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025. The reports claim that the operation was carried out on the directive of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and executed by the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting Team.
As of the time of filing this report, the Ghana Police Service has not issued an official statement confirming the arrest or outlining the specific allegations against the self-styled prophet. However, the development is widely believed to be linked to his much-publicised prophecy that failed to materialise.
Ebo Noah, whom critics have often described as a content creator rather than a cleric, had earlier claimed that God instructed him to construct an ark to save humanity from an imminent global disaster.
He had warned that a catastrophic flood would destroy the world on Thursday, December 25, 2025, urging those who believed in the revelation to reach out to him to secure a place in the ark.
In a dramatic turnaround on December 24, the young man announced that the foretold disaster would no longer occur, explaining that God had changed His mind after he embarked on fasting and prayers.
Reports also revealed that prior to the alleged arrest, the Elmina District Commander, Chief Superintendent Abraham Bansah, had on December 18, 2025, ordered officers to locate and apprehend Ebo Noah for questioning.
That initial attempt reportedly failed, as the self-proclaimed prophet allegedly went into hiding, with his whereabouts remaining unknown. During the search, his parents and neighbours were said to have been questioned by the police.
The reports further claim that a renewed manhunt was launched after a Benya FM radio presenter, identified as Sofo Blessing, appeared at the station on Thursday, December 25, 2025, in the company of a Liberian national, Paul Telly Jalloh.
Official confirmation from the police is still being awaited.
