
Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas

Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas has promised to redouble his efforts in tackling the challenges affecting community development in the state.
Governor Kefas made the vowed during the celebration of his one year in office as he organized thanksgiving service to appreciate God, at the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Secretariat, on Sunday in Jalingo, Taraba State’s capital.
He expressed appreciation to God for protection, and his administration vision to unite Taraba State, adding that his leadership would also focus on youth and women empowerment.
Earlier, the governor read the scripture from the book of 2 kings, Chapter 4: 8-32., While the Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena, took the second reading from the book of Luke 17: 11-19 and the third reading was taken from the book of Numbers, 6:22-27 by the Chief Judge of Taraba State, Hon. Justice Joel Filibus Agya.
Delivering the thanksgiving sermon, the guest speaker, Rev. Dr. Philip Dopah said, thanksgiving is an act of worship, that every individual shows gratitude and appreciation to God for abundant blessings.
Dr. Dopah, further, disclosed that, thanksgiving is a thing of joy, that represent the fundamental of God’s people and blessings, and it is the integral part of Christian life to glorify God.
The cleric, who read from the book of Psalm 100: 1-5, advised Christians to give thanks to God despite the difficulties.
In his welcome speech, the CAN Chairman, Taraba State, Rev. Dr. Isaiah Jirapye Magaji expressed appreciation for the leadership policies of the governor, as his slogan is “moving forward”.
He appealed to the governor to appoint special advisers, senior special assistants, board members, and technical assistants, to ensure unity among the people and provide scholarship to his subjects to higher education.
In the same vein, the acting Rector, Taraba State Polytechnic, Dr. Amos Agbu Danlami, applauded the leadership policies of the governor, especially the free education policy, reducing of tuition fees, impact on infrastructural development, among others.
