
Former President Goodluck Jonathan

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has extended his condolences to the government and people of Ghana following a military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of two ministers, military officers, and others.
The crash occurred on Wednesday in Ghana’s southern Ashanti region.
The tragic crash claimed the lives of all passengers on board.
Among the victims were Minister of Defence Edward Boamah and Minister of Environment Ibrahim Mohammed.

Jonathan described the incident as painful in his condolence message shared on social media. “I extend my deepest condolences to His Excellency, President John Mahama, the Government and people of Ghana, and the bereaved families on the tragic incident.”
Jonathan paid tribute to the victims, saying, “They were committed public servants who gave their lives in service to their country. Their passing leaves a painful void in the hearts of many.”
“I pray that their legacy continues to inspire future generations of Ghanaian leaders. May God grant you, the affected families, and the people of Ghana the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Jonathan prayed.
Jonathan joined in paying tribute to the patriotism and sacrifices of the victims for Ghana’s peace, security, and progress.
