The state Executive Committee (SEC), of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Nasarawa State, has passed a vote of confidence on the state chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Bello.
The party’s SEC announced the decision, in a parley with journalists at the APC secretariat in Lafia.
According to the Party leaders, since the current Chairman was elected, he has continued to demonstrate leadership acumen to promote and unite members APC in the State.
State Secretary of the Party, Mr Yairus G. Dagusa, who read the text on behalf of members of the SEC, said recent statements coming from some people within and outside the party doesn’t augur well with the party.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasarawa State has noticed with utter dismay the unwarranted muddling Statements coming from persons within and outside the Party, misguided persons though, trying so hard to subject our great Party to public ridicule”.
Dagusa, said such unhealthy statements coming from persons within the party are capable of dividing members, especially at a time like this when the unity of the Party is most needed.
He said the party in the state is capable of accommodating the interests of all members regardless of their divergent opinions.
While commending the State Governor, Abdullahi Sule for his developmental strides, the Party leaders called on overzealous members to bridle their tongues and refrain from inciting commentaries on either the conventional media and social media handles.
Our correspondent gathered that the state chairman of APC, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, has been under pressure of recent to resign his position owing to his personal relationship with Senator Ahmed Wadada (SDP), representing Nasarawa West at the National Assembly.
