
Through the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) in Abuja, the police successfully recovered a Toyota Prado (2020 model) in Accra, Ghana

Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has made a significant breakthrough in combating cross-border crimes, recovering multiple vehicles stolen within Nigeria and trafficked to neighboring countries.
This is contained in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by the Force spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
ACP Adejobi said through the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) in Abuja, the police successfully recovered a Toyota Prado (2020 model) in Accra, Ghana, and a Toyota Hilux (2018 model) in Agadez, Niger Republic
.

He said the Toyota Prado, belonging to a Federal Government Agency, was stolen during a robbery incident in Abuja and was recovered in Ghana, where three suspects were arrested and charged to court.
According to him, the vehicle was formally handed over to the concerned agency.
In a similar operation, the Toyota Hilux, belonging to another Federal Government agency, was recovered in Niger Republic and handed over to a senior staff representing the agency at the Nigeria-Niger border.
He quoted the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, as commending the operatives involved in these operations, reiterating the commitment of the NPF to improved global policing.
“We appreciate the outstanding support and cooperation of INTERPOL NCB Accra, INTERPOL NCB Niamey, and the Nigerian High Commission in Accra for their invaluable assistance in the recovery and return of these stolen vehicles,”* he said.
The NPF encouraged citizens to register their vehicles on the Police Electronic Platforms and take necessary precautions to enhance the chances of swift recovery in case of theft.
