Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen
Victor Osimhen will remain at Napoli after transfer talks with Chelsea broke down, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Despite a new proposal from Chelsea just hours before the summer transfer deadline, the two clubs failed to reach an agreement.
Romano reported that the negotiations ended with no deal, leaving Osimhen in a difficult position. He stated that Osimhen will stay at Napoli but will not be part of the first-team squad due to a “completely broken” relationship.
Earlier, Romano had announced that Napoli had reached an agreement with Saudi club Al Ahli for Osimhen’s transfer, worth €75/80m, with a four-year contract and €25/30m per season salary. However, the deal included a release clause, lower than the reported €100m, which allowed Osimhen to leave easily.
With the Chelsea transfer off the table, Osimhen’s future at Napoli remains uncertain.
