Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, have recorded significant breakthroughs in the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign across Borno and Adamawa States, neutralising 14 terrorists and seizing arms, explosives, and critical logistics supplies between 21 and 27 September 2025.
In a major offensive on 27 September, troops neutralised 11 terrorists in a well-coordinated operation at Loskori Kura in Mafa Local Government Area (LGA).
The operation led to the recovery of four AK-47 rifles, assorted ammunition, and a cache of illicit drugs, further crippling insurgent supply lines.

On the same day, troops carried out a night offensive in Konduga LGA, eliminating another terrorist. Earlier in the week, on 22 September, a Boko Haram scout was neutralised near Kolori Karumi, west of Alau Dam, also in Konduga LGA.
Further successes were recorded on 24 September, when a fighting patrol recovered an AK-47 rifle in Zar Village, Hong LGA of Adamawa State. At Forward Operating Base (FOB) Magumeri, troops intercepted another rifle from two suspected kidnappers.
In a decisive encounter on 25 September, gallant forces repelled a large-scale attack on FOB Azir in Damboa, killing one insurgent.
The troops recovered three AK-47 rifles and materials used in making Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), thwarting further plans of destruction.
Beyond direct combat, troops also escalated logistics strangulation operations aimed at denying terrorists the resources to sustain their campaign. On 27 September, large quantities of urea fertilizer, commonly used in IED production, were intercepted at the Central Market, Mubi North, having been abandoned by fleeing collaborators.
On the same day, 20 jerricans of smuggled Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) were recovered along Fillin Ball–Gella Road in Mubi South, further disrupting insurgent fuel supply channels.
The Military High Command has commended the troops for their courage and commitment, reaffirming its unwavering resolve to sustain aggressive operations against all terrorist elements in the North East.
> “Our forces remain focused on dismantling the operational capabilities of terrorist groups, and we will not relent until peace is fully restored,” the statement read.
