
Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced a whopping 1.91 million applications for various positions in the paramilitary agencies during the current recruitment exercise.
This data was made available on the board’s recruitment website, (https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng/), on Monday.
Before the online application began, the CDCFIB had revealed plans to recruit no fewer than 30,000 applicants into the agencies. With over 1.9 million applications received, the competition is stiff, translating to a mere 1.57% chance of securing a position ¹.
Top Applying States
According to the statistics, Kogi State led with a massive 116,243 applicants, followed closely by Kaduna with 114,599 and Benue with 110,644 applicants.
Other states with notable applicant numbers include :
– *Kano*: 89,421
– *Niger*: 79,567
– *Kwara*: 78,467
– States with the least applicants were *Bayelsa*: 11,680 and *Lagos*: 14,221.
Next Steps for Applicants
The CDCFIB stated that shortlisted candidates would be contacted soon with further instructions.
“Please, monitor your email and text messages in the coming weeks, for notifications,” the board urged.
