The African Democratic Congress (ADC) aspirant for the Bakassi/Akpabuyu/Calabar South Federal Constituency, Andrew Thomas, has given an assurance that if nominated and elected, he would provide effective representation by doing things differently.
Mr. Thomas, who is an American veteran journalist gave the pledge on Monday while addressing journalists at the Ernest Etim Bassey Press Centre Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
According to him: “My doors will be open , I am not a money bags, and I will not sell my people’s mandate”
“I am running a campaign in the 32 electoral ward in my Federal Constituency, the present occupants has been there for 24 years, we want a fresh start”
Mr. Thomas noted that he initially planned to run for governorship position but decided to heed to the call of his people by aspiring to run for the Akpabuyu, Calabar South and Bakassi Federal Constituency.
He however appealed to the people of Akpabuyu Calabar South and Bakassi to give him an opportunity to serve in the House of Representatives to make a difference.
“We will prioritize our people’s welfare because they deserve better and not only condolence visit and empowerment during election time”, he said.
