His Eminence, the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Garbai Ibn Umar El Kanemi, Proprietress Capital School, Hajiya Aisha Abba Wakilbe, NTA Maiduguri Network Center, Hajiya Mama Jire Dole, Malama A. M among others bagged Allamin Foundation for Peace and Development merit award for their unique solidarity, determination, dedication, support and assistance to women and the vulnerable in Borno State.
Presenting the awards on Saturday at the Shehu palace and Women Development Centre Maiduguri respectively, the Executive Director, Allamin Foundation, Hajiya Hansatu Allamin said the purpose of the recognition and honour of the recipients was informed by their individual and corporate contributions, resilient, steadfastness and support to women and girl child, struggle fo peace, reconciliation, peace building and development.
She also said that their support and contributions have greatly impacted on women generally in the state and served as an eye opener and history to be reckon with in building peace and reconciling women, pointing out that, such efforts needed to be identified and honoured for others to emulate them.

According to her, the foundation deemed it fit to encourage and support such people and organizations to do more for the women, particularly, those who are helpless and most vulnerable in actualizing the mission and vision of the foundation.
The Executive Director commended the royal father for his enormous support, fatherly advice and encouragement while hailing the tremendous support and encouragement of the founder/Proprietress of Capital School who is also an educationist per excellence through the establishment of a school and enrolling youths who graduated over 1000 students especially girls that have excelled in various fields of their endeavours in life and occupying higher positions in both public and private sectors of the country.
She added that other women were honoured for their unique and relentless examplary efforts and services to humanity during and after the insurgency which promoted peace and development among women folks in the society. She appealed to them to maintain the tempo and influence others to emulate them in interest of the peace, security abd development.
Zainab Bukar representative of the Hon. Commissioner of Justice, Borno State, Barrister Hadiza Abubakar assured continuous support to the foundation and pledged to continue to collaborate with the foundation to achieve peace, security and development in the state.
Also, Hajiya Zainab Mohammed, representative of the Hon Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, Borno State, Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo appreciated the foundation and commended the organization for empowering and alleviating women and girls in the state.
She also advised women to be more committed and resilient towards peace and development
Hajiya Aisha Abba Wakilbe, mother of Borno State Commissioner of Education, Innovation, Science and Technology, Engr. Lawan Wakilbe appreciated the award and recognition accorded to her as the founder and proprietress of Capital School, Maiduguri.
Hajiya Aisha, who is also the widow of the late Alhaji Abba Wakilbe, the former Commander General, FRSC urged womenfolk to rise up to the challenges of dwindling economy , be self reliant, and productive.
She also called on the women to stand up and voice out their minds and issues bordering them in other for the society to hear and know, while enjoining them to provide useful information about any suspicious element in their midst.
Highlights of the occasion include presentation of awards, group photographs add recitations of the recipients among others.
