
Northern Christian Association (NCA) Chairman, Reverend Joseph Hayab has commended the Founder of the World Assembly Ministries, Reverend Isaac Omolehin for providing funds which was channeled towards repair of the malfunctioned solar powered borehole at the Jerusalem Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp, Maiduguri, Borno state.
The camp which hosted hundreds heads of households and their families, mostly Christians from Gwoza local government area for many years has experienced shortage of drinking water due to technical issues to power the only functional Borehole in the camp.
Relief came in when the NCA Chairman, Reverend Hayab led some delegation to provide relief materials recently to IDPs in Borno, in which, he got to know about the IDPs suffer for lack of drinking water.
The Chairman quickly reached out to Reverend Omolehin who acted promptly by restoring water in the camp.
According to Reverend Hayab in an interview said, “this intervention came from the support his Association got from Rev Isaac Omolehin the founder of the Word Assembly Ministries in Ilorin, Kwara State Nigeria.
” I really appreciated and commend Rev Isaac for his support which has brought relief to the women and families from the risk and stress of going out to fetch water for bathing and cooking in this camp”.
He also appealed to other faithfuls, churches and spirited individuals to emulate this godly attitude of mourning with those who mourn as shown by the scriptures.
Hayab noted that “in situation like this, a carefully giver should not wait or think to donate millions, but a little donations would go along way in touching lives of the vulnerable groups in the society”.
Rev Hayab promised that the association, under his leaderahip will not relent in its efforts to make brothers and sisters in IDPs across the region and beyond smile at all times.
Some of the IDPs, who expressed their profound gratitude said, this intervention addresses one of the community’s most pressing needs, ensuring that families have access to safe and clean water for drinking, cooking, and other household activities.
“The restoration of portable water in this camp which was facilitated by Reverend Hayab, through Reverend Omolehin of the World Assembly Ministries will improve public health, reduce the risk of waterborne diseases, and enhance the overall quality of our lives in this camp”. Said one of the IDPs, Mr. James Audu.
