
In line with its commitment to Human Capital Development, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) recorded another significant milestone as fifty (50) senior officers were inducted into the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (Chartered) upon the successful completion of their professional certification program on 24th June, 2026.
The induction ceremony, which held at the CGIS Auditorium, Technology Building, Service Headquarters, Abuja, marks another strategic investment in building a highly skilled, knowledge-driven and professionally competent workforce capable of responding effectively to the evolving demands of leadership.
The President and Chairman-in-Council of the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (Chartered), Mr. Alex Ndudi Enebeli, formally conferred professional membership status on the participants and inducted them into the Institute.
He emphasized that strategic management is a continuous learning process that requires constant adaptation, innovation and professional development, urging the newly inducted members to continually build their knowledge and competencies
The Comptroller-General, KN Nandap, represented by Assistant Comptroller-General in charge of Migration Directorate, AM Halliday, in her closing remarks emphasized that strategic management is the foundation of effective leadership and institutional excellence.
She urged the newly inducted officers to leverage the knowledge and strategic competencies acquired through the programme to foster innovation, strengthen organizational performance, and advance the Service’s mandate with professionalism, accountability, and vision.
The NIS boss said the Service remains committed to investing in the continuous professional development of its personnel through strategic partnerships and specialized training programmes that strengthen institutional capacity, promote excellence in Service Delivery and advance effective Migration Management and Border Governance.
