About one hundred undergraduate students have benefited from the first phase of David Maiyaki’s Scholarship Scheme in Nasarawa State.
NATIONAL ACCORD reports that Hon. Maiyaki disbursed the sum of N200,000 million naira for the scholarship scheme in the state and each of the beneficiaries were given the token of twenty thousand Naira (N20,000), which would be paid monthly for the period of four years.
The Chairman of the scholarship committee, Barrister Jonah Ezekiel Akuso, disclosed this recently during the disbursement of the funds at Tuturu hotel, in Ado, karu Local Government Area of the State.
According to the chairman, the beneficiaries are final year students including five hundred level in law and HND two students across the higher institutions in the country, were selected from the six electoral wards that constitute Karu-Gitata constituency which David Maiyaki represent at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

Barrister Jonah, said the scholarship was inline with David Maiyaki’s programmes to affect the lives of his constituents positively and enjoined the benefiting students to utilize the funds to solve some of the challenges.
He maintained that the second phase of the disbursement would take place next month 29, May, where all the successful candidates would be captured and called for support to enable them succeed.
Some of the student Union leaders who benefitted from the scholarship scheme, expressed deep appreciation to the Nasarawa lawmaker for his kind gesture and promised to utilize the opportunity judiciously.
