
Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF)

The 36th teleconference meeting of the 36 state governors under the auspices of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 15th December, with focus on agriculture, education and security strategies, topping the agenda for discourse.
The Head of Media and Public Affairs of the NGF Secretariat, Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo, who made this known in a statement on Monday, said the meeting is expected to take place at the NiGF Secretariat in Abuja.
Although not much has been disclosed about the agenda of the meeting, The Director-General of NGF, Mr Asishana Bayo Okauru, said the governors can join the meeting at 1pm as the meeting is expected to commence at 2pm.
According to the invitation, Mr. Okauru, said the governors will be expected to look at their activities for the year and signpost where to pick up from as soon as they resume in January next year.
“Specifically, their deliberations will centre around the six core mandate areas of the Forum which include agriculture, education, the economy, security, health and Infrastructural development”.
“Other items on the agenda will include – how to further enhance the governance mechanism in the country and serve Nigerians better.”, the statement said.
