Bauchi gov nominates 2 more women as commissioners

ARMSTRONG ALLAHMAGANI, Bauchi –

Two more women have been nominated by the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed and sent to the State House of Assembly for screening and subsequent confirmation as Commissioners

Our Correspondent reports that currently, there are six female Commissioners in the Bauchi State Executive Council.

The names of the two women were sent in a letter addressed to the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman, and read during plenary by the Majority Leader of the House Tijjani Aliyu.

According to him, the nominees are: Hajiya Jamila Muhammad-Dahiru from Toro Local Government and Hajiya Amina Katagum from Zaki LGA.

The Majority Leader moved a motion that the nominees be screened on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 for screening and was seconded by the Minority Leader Bakoji Bobbo.
