Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed
Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has removed Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko from her position as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development.
The announcement was made in a statement released early Monday by Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor.
Describing the move as part of “a minor change” within the State Executive Council, Gidado said:
> “In that respect, the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko, has been relieved of her appointment with immediate effect.”
He added that Governor Mohammed appreciates her contributions during her tenure and extended best wishes for the future:
> “The governor thanks the Honourable Commissioner for her services to the State and wishes her success in her future endeavors.”
No replacement has yet been named as of the time of this report.
