The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, has reaffirmed the dedication of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to ensuring the security and peace of the nation.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message on Sunday, Musa highlighted the significance of sacrifice and loyalty, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, and commended the troops for their unwavering commitment to democratic tenets and constituted authority.
“The military remains strong and committed to ensuring restoration of peace and security in Nigeria and its environment,” Musa assured.
He emphasized the importance of embracing peace, unity, and love for one another, acknowledging the sacrifices of past and present heroes.
Musa expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his support, ensuring the armed forces remain a source of national pride. He concluded by wishing Nigerians a joyous Eid-Kabir celebration, urging continued support for the armed forces’ efforts to guarantee a secure future for the country.
“The labours of our past and present heroes must indeed not be in vain,” he said.
