FRSC organizes workshop for Special marshals in Taraba

The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) Taraba State Sector Command has organized a training workshop for special marshal in a bid to enhance their efficiency and effective performance.

The Sector Commander, Abdulmaliq Bello said the training of special marshall 2023 sectoral workshop for volunteerism in road safety management is to enhance the advancement in managing affairs of road users.

He stressed that managing road matters required diplomacy, principles rather than creating chaos among drivers and other road users that may result to tragedy.

The training which involved special marshals, state and zonal coordinators as well as military and paramilitary personnel in attendant produce a communique as guidelines toward the activities of special marshals.

The communique which was written and presented by the Public Enlightenment Officer, Mr. Ezra Haruna, said that road safety volunteers plays vital roles in promoting and ensuring FRSC operation.

“The special marshal needs motivation to ensure effective strategies for providing necessary support to road users.

“To provide proper education to all special marshal to enable them perform optimally, by organizing regular conferences and workshop.

“There should be synergy between regular and special marshal, continue enlightenment to all road users and the recruitment of special marshal should consider people without criminal record, among others.

The Theme of the workshop ” Possibilities and Limits as overview of special marshal, and papers were presented by some notable scholars from different institutions of higher learning, including Prof. Antonio Jang from Taraba State University, Jalingo and Barr. Tanko Ibrahim a legal practitioner.
