Manchester United secured a 1–0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea had more possession and created more chances but could not convert.
Several attempts missed target, while others struck the woodwork.
Manchester United set up to stay compact and defend in numbers. The result was more notable as they managed it without some of their key defenders, yet still maintained shape and limited clear openings.
The goal came in the 43rd minute.
Bruno Fernandes released a forward pass into space for Matheus Cunha to finish past the goalkeeper, taking his assist tally for the season to 18.
Chelsea pushed for an equaliser in the second half but could not break through.
The result strengthens Manchester United’s position in the race for a Champions League place, while Chelsea drop points despite controlling large parts of the match.
