Newly commissioned cadets
On behalf of the officers, airmen, airwomen, and civilian staff of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, has warmly welcomed the 275 newly commissioned officers from the Nigerian Defence Academy into the Air Force family.
A statement issued by the Force via its X handle on Saturday, said the commissioning marks not only the completion of a rigorous training period but also the beginning of a noble journey of service to our fatherland.
“As they join the ranks as commissioned officers, these young men and women embody the core values of the Service — Willing, Able, Ready — to defend our nation’s sovereignty with honour and distinction.
“As they don the Air Force blue, they step into a formidable team committed to projecting airpower in fulfilment of our constitutional mandate.
” In particular, their dedication is crucial in the ongoing asymmetric warfare, where the NAF continues to safeguard the lives and properties of citizens while deploying smarter, more precise, and effective firepower against insurgents.
“Their arrival strengthens the Service’s resolve to stay ahead of evolving threats through innovation, professionalism, and teamwork.
“Guided by the transformative and visionary command philosophy of the Chief of the Air Staff, these officers are equipped to uphold the ideals of excellence, integrity, and selfless service. Together, they represent the future of an Air Force that is not only combat-ready but also people-focused, leveraging cutting-edge strategies to ensure peace and security for our nation. We celebrate their commissioning with pride and confidence in their ability to soar to greater heights in the service of Nigeria.
