
Nigeria on Monday recorded 155 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), showing an increase of 55 over and above the 100 cases confirmed on Sunday.
This was confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official twitter handle @NCDCgov.
According to the health agency, Monday’s figure brought to 55,160 the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country.
It added that while 43,231 of the confirmed cases had been treated and discharged, a total of 1,061 deaths were recorded across the country since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Giving a breakdown of the 155 new cases, the NCDC said that Lagos topped the chart with 42, followed by Plateau-25, Rivers-16 and Ebonyi-10.
The reset of the cases were confirmed from Abia-9, Ogun-9, FCT-9, Osun-7, Katsina-6, Kaduna-6, Ekiti-4, Taraba-4, Edo-3, Anambra-2, Akwa Ibom-2, and Kano-1.
