Family of renowned Evangelist, Uma Ukpai has announced his passing after an undisclosed illness
Ukpai, known for his prophetic sermons and charismatic teaching , died on October 6, according to the family.
In a statement made available to the media, the family stated that Uma Ukpai, “a fiery evangelist and dynamic teacher of the gospel dedicated his over six decades of his life to transforming destinies within Nigeria and across the world .”
Describing his death as the “triumphant home going,” the family noted that “while we mourn his physical absence, we rejoice that he has finished his race and is now resting in eternal praise.”
Uma Ukpai, born in Abia State, made Akwa Ibom, the Land of Promise his home and organized the annual crusade tagged ” _Breaking of Ancestral Curses_ ” which stirred debate in many quarters.
He was a founding member of the father of Faith Christian Association, a group of dedicated faith leaders committed to spreading the gospel and throwing their support behind the state government programmes .
The family did not disclose the nature of the illness that resulted in his death.
