Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani
Kaduna State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, has commended Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as impactful leadership and unwavering commitment to nation-building.
Speaking against the backdrop of recent pension payments and ongoing development projects in the state, the commissioner said Governor Uba Sani has continued to justify public confidence through people-oriented policies and programmes.
He noted that the governor’s approval of N4.289 billion for the payment of gratuities, death benefits and accrued rights to pensioners is a clear reflection of compassionate governance and responsiveness to the needs of citizens.
According to him, the gesture has brought relief to thousands of retirees and families of deceased workers, many of whom had waited for years to receive their entitlements.
Hon. Lagos added that beyond pension payments, Governor Uba Sani has touched countless lives through empowerment initiatives that cut across Kaduna State and even benefitted non-indigenes.
“His interventions in human capital development and social welfare have impacted uncountable individuals, giving hope and improving livelihoods,” he said.
The commissioner also highlighted achievements recorded within the governor’s first three years in office, noting significant strides in infrastructure, education, agriculture and healthcare.
He said road construction and rehabilitation projects across Kaduna metropolis and other urban centres stand as visible evidence of the administration’s commitment to development.
“If you take a walk across Kaduna today, you will see improved road networks in many parts of the state. This is a testament to purposeful leadership,” he stated.
On healthcare and education, Hon. Lagos said the government has invested heavily in upgrading facilities and ensuring the availability of qualified personnel, including doctors and teachers.
He stressed that these efforts have strengthened service delivery and enhanced access to quality healthcare and education for residents.
The commissioner further argued that given these achievements, there is no justification for denying Governor Uba Sani a second term in office.
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying his administration has taken bold steps that are already yielding positive results for Nigerians.
Hon. Lagos maintained that both leaders have demonstrated commitment to national progress and deserve continued support from the people.
