A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Alhaji Tijani Galadima, has declared that there would be no negotiations regarding the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Galadima made the statement during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, where he expressed confidence in the achievements of the Tinubu administration, saying the President’s reforms are visible across the country.
“In Adamawa state, the electorate have agreed that president Tinubu remain the only choice that Adamawa people and the entire country can vote for development,” he said.
The former Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) also spoke on his ambition to contest the governorship election in the state, explaining that his decision was motivated by the desire to sustain the developmental initiatives introduced by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.
“I never dream of contesting for the governorship of Adamawa state, but when I saw what Fintiri put on ground, I say this agenda needs protection and continuity, so I join the race to protect and add my contributions to the state,” he stated.
Galadima appealed to residents of the state who support Governor Fintiri’s development agenda to back his aspiration ahead of the APC governorship primary and the general election.
He assured that if elected, his administration would focus strongly on women and youth empowerment through policies aimed at boosting economic opportunities and creating jobs.
The APC governorship hopeful also commended the conduct of the House of Representatives primaries held on Saturday, describing the exercise as a positive sign that future party primaries would be transparent and credible.
Speaking during the meeting, former Chairman of Mubi North Local Government Area, Mr. Kelvin Peter, described Galadima as the most qualified among the governorship aspirants in the state.
“If you don’t know him check his performances records at PTDF it will shock you about the reform he brought to the agency,” Peter said.
“With what Fintiri has done, we need someone with the capacity to continue with the good job, not somebody that will take us backward,” he added.
