
Borno Deputy Governor, Umar Kadafur

Borno State Deputy Governor, Umar Kadafur, has received the senate committee on the Army led by the Chairman Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua in the council Chamber of the Deputy Governor office.
Senator Yar’Adua while delivering his remarks said they were in Maiduguri for their oversights function to access the progress and challenges faced by the theatre of Operation hadin kai of the North East, and also other zones in Nigeria.
The Chairman outlined that the theatre Commander has presented progress and challenges to the committee and will help the committee to curb challenges and opportunities for enhancing security settings in Nigeria.
Sen Yar’Adua commend the Borno State government for its commitment and support to the Nigeria Army and other security agencies to enhance fight against Insurgency ,
” We have seen a lot of billions spent by Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum to support the military and other security agencies with Operational vehicles , Cash support to Families of deceased and wounded soldiers” Yar’Adua added.
The Deputy Governor while responding to the delegation, said on behalf of the Governor of Borno State he wished to appreciate the leadership of the Senate through this delegation for their commitments in ensuring legislative actions and decisions were all on top gear.
Kadafur also commend the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment in the security architecture of Nigeria, adding that the committee visit is timely and will pave a way for successful operations by the Nigeria Army especially on the challenges and opportunities.

…… On Conservative Park Services
The Nigeria Conservative Park Service led by General MA Kabir paid a courtesy visit to the Government of Borno State at the office of the Deputy Governor. General Kabir, while delivering his speech on behalf of the Conservator-General, Dr. Ibrahim Goni, has reiterated the importance of the visit at the time that Borno is recovering from the challenges of Insurgency which has affected the landmarks of their operations with over 1000 square kilometres in Borno.
The Conservative Park Services is also focused on community engagement and empowerment to foster a collaborative approach to conservation. The park is working with communities living around the parks to promote sustainable livelihoods and reduce dependence on forest resources.
They are engaging in socio-economic initiatives and collaborating with organizations,
and also working with local communities to ensure their cooperation in protecting park resources MA Kabir added.
The representative of the Conservative General also commended the Governor of Borno for rebuilding office and accommodation at the farm centre, highlighting challenges and requests for support of Operational vehicles, offices and accommodation from the Borno State Government to resume effective management and services in the State.
The Deputy Governor also responded that the government of Borno State appreciates their timely visit as the Governor has renovated and received many animals both wild and domestic from private and public organisations.
Hon. Kadafur assured the delegation of government readiness to support and encourage the organisation to work effectively in the region.
