Nigeria on Thursday recorded 125 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 57,849.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known via its official twitter handle @NCDCgov·
According to the health agency, out of the 57,849 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 49,098 had so far been successfully treated and discharged, while a total of 1,102 deaths were recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic.
It added thatof the 125 new confirmed cases, Lagos topped with 37, followed by Plateau with 18, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) -17 and Ogun-15.
The remaining cases came from Rivers -10, Benue-7, Kaduna-7, Anambra-5, Oyo-3, Cross River-2, Ondo-2, Edo-1, and Imo-1.
