Ferran Torres has agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain and informed Barcelona of his decision to leave the club for a long-term move to the French champions.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Torres and his agent have communicated their decision to Barcelona, leaving PSG and the Catalan giants to negotiate the transfer fee.
The agreement with Torres puts PSG in a strong position heading into those talks, while Barcelona will now have to push for a deal that gives them adequate financial value for a player who still has a role within their squad.
Beyond the transfer itself, Torres’ decision could force Barcelona to rethink the balance of their attacking options. Losing a versatile forward would leave the club with fewer alternatives in the final third, while PSG would be adding another proven attacking option to an already competitive squad.
For Torres, the move represents a fresh start and the chance to take on a new challenge in Paris.
The player has made his choice. Now Barcelona and PSG must settle the money.
