Bauchi Govt to distribute palliatives to vulnerable households

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has said arrangements have been concluded to begin the distribution of palliatives to vulnerable people in the state. The move is to reduce hunger and hardship with effect from Wednesday, March 20,2024.

The Governor disclosed when he hosted stakeholders of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 10 LGAs  at a Ramadan Iftar dinner at the Sultan Sa’ad Hajj Camp, Bauchi.

He admit that his government is aware of the high poverty, anger and hunger level in Bauchi and Nigerian people are into.

The Governor appreciated the support residents of the state who, despite difficulties, faced, stand firm in support of policies and programs of his government.

He appealed to the state’s citizens to exercise prudence in their daily activities, saying the President Bola Tinubu, regime is committed to implementing measures aimed to stabilize prices of commodities, stimulate economic growth, and promote prosperity and well-being of citizenry.

The distribution of the palliatives will  be handled by high-powered committee headed by the Chief of Staff,  Government House, Dr. Aminu Gamawa and other members of the state executive council as well as local government council caretaker chairmen.
