Bayelsa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commended FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and the G5 members for their commitment to zoning the presidential ticket to the South and recognizing Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary of the party.
The Bayelsa PDP, under the leadership of Acting Chairman George Turnah, praised Wike and the G5 for their dedication to the party’s principles.
“The meeting is a testament to the unwavering love Wike has for the PDP and his relentless fight for justice against impunity,” Turnah said.

The party fully endorsed the resolutions reached at the Abuja meeting, stating, “We stand united with the rest of our Eminent leaders and concerned stakeholders across the Federation in the decision to zone the Presidential ticket of our party for the upcoming 2027 elections to the Southern region.”
Turnah added, “Together, we will forge ahead with renewed vigour to restore the PDP to its rightful place as a beacon of hope and justice for our people and nation.”
The Bayelsa PDP reaffirmed its loyalty to Wike as a national leader and Anyanwu as the National Secretary.
The party emphasized the importance of inclusivity and fairness, noting that zoning the presidential ticket to the South demonstrates their commitment to these values.
“This strategic move does not just demonstrate our commitment to inclusivity and fairness. It also ensures that our party remains attuned to the voices of all Nigerians,” the statement read.
