Taraba State Government has extended a helping hand to the victims of the recent flood disaster in Mokwa, Niger State, with a donation of N50 million.
A delegation led by Senator Manu Haruna, representing Taraba Central, visited Niger State Governor Muhammad Bago in Minna to convey the condolences of the Taraba Government and people.
Senator Haruna described the flood as a “monumental loss and a national disaster,” emphasizing the severity of the situation.
“My state shared in the grief of the government and people of Niger, especially the affected families,” he said, highlighting the solidarity between the two states.
Governor Bago expressed gratitude for the visit and donation, thanking the Taraba Government for its support during this challenging time.
“We appreciate the visit and the donation from the government and people of Taraba,” he said, acknowledging the gesture as a symbol of unity and cooperation among states.
