America’s domestic intelligence and security service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), says former President Donald Trump who was shot on Saturday, is safe.
Trump, who has already left hospital, is reported to be “doing well,” according to his campaign organization.
The FBI also identified the suspected gunman in an assassination attempt on Trump as identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
It said that the shooter was dead, while one person at the rally was killed and two other spectators injured.
According to agency reports, Trump was shot during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania, with The New York Times quoting the Republican Presidential candidate as having said in a post online that he had been “shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part” of his ear.
