The Kaduna State Police Command has announced comprehensive security arrangements to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration across the state.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, the Command said it has deployed tactical commanders, intelligence operatives and other personnel to strategic locations.
According to the statement, security presence has been reinforced at Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, markets, highways and other public places to guarantee the safety of residents.
The Command emphasized that the proactive measures are aimed at safeguarding lives and property before, during and after the festivities.
It reiterated that the use of knockouts, fireworks and other explosive items remains strictly prohibited throughout the celebration period.
Parents and guardians were advised to caution their children and wards against engaging in such acts, warning that violators will be arrested and prosecuted.
The police also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements, persons or objects to the nearest security agency.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan and prayed for peace, unity and prosperity, wishing all residents a joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
