Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has distributed palliatives to vulnerable households to cushion the effect of hike in food prices and inflation in the country
The governor also disbursed N5000 cash to the vulnerable women in Bama.

Speaking to newsmen after the food distribution exercise, he disclosed that 25,000 men benefitted where each man received 25kg of rice and 25kg bag of maize each, while 45,000 women benefitted as each received a wrapper and ₦5000 cash.

Zulum also said that he will convene a stakeholders meeting in the state to see to the possibility of tackling food crisis in the state as the situation is becoming alarming.
He also thanked the federal government and security agencies for their continued support to the people and government of Borno State from the beginning the insurgency to date.

The Governor had earlier arrived in Bama on Sunday night after which he paid homage to the Shehu of Bama, HRH, Alh. Kyari Ibn Ibrahim Kyari Umar El Kanemi at his palace.
