Christy Essien Igbokwe
By AUSTIN FAIR-NWAULU, Lagos –
As Nigeria’s demised Lady of Songs, Chief [Mrs] Christy Essien Igbokwe clocked 60 years on Wednesday, November 11, the family led by widower and ever-loving husband, Chief Eddy Igbokwe did not lose sight of the special day as they prayed for continuous happiness with God.
And he wrote; ’’Visualising happenings at your 60th posthumous birthday anniversary at the bosom of our Lord.
Mummy, sing and continue making joyful noise unto the Lord, while we remember and celebrate you herein the ‘’sinful’’ world.
Continue with your rest at the bosom of the Lord, till all meet to part no more.’’
The popular and highly acclaimed singer, actor and philanthropist died at the prime age of 50 and ever since then, they do not let any of her birthday go without giving honour to whom it’s due, albeit posthumously.
