The Governor of Nasarawa state, Engr. Abdulahi Sule has charged students and learners to imbibe the culture of reading books to increase their horizon.
Governor Sule gave the charge recently during a book launch of a lecturer with the Nasarawa State University, Keff which took place at Assembly Hall of the institution.
Represented by his special advise on legal matters, Barr. Abubakar, commended the author for the excellent work done and promised to support any one that is willing to contribute knowledge to the growth of the state.
In his remarks, the author of the book, Dr. Phillip Umaru Aje, who is also the National President of Igbiri Development Association, disclosed that he decided to write the book as part of his contribution to knowledge especially in the area of international law.
Dr. Aje added that his new book titled: “Rudiments of International Law” would be of benefit to both students and teachers of law.
In his speech, the chairman of the occasion Mr Zamani described the author as an euridite scholar and urged all to support him in the journey of his academic voyage.
Also, The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Abdullahi Adamu thanked all that came to grace the occasion and was happy especially for their support and prayers for the author.
He said the book would be of immense benefits to students and others in the practice of the law profession .
The chief luncher at the occasion Tanko Almakura represented by the Director General of Nasarawa State Geographic Information Service (NAEGIS), Mr. Sunny Agazi commended the author of the book and wished him well is his academic success.
The occasion was graced by students, members of the academic and the general public.
