Cristiano Ronaldo
At 41, Cristiano Ronaldo is still deciding games.
The Portuguese forward scored twice as Al-Nassr FC defeated Al-Hazem FC 4–0 on Saturday night to return to the summit of the Saudi Pro League.
Ronaldo put Al-Nassr ahead in the 13th minute, finding space inside the box and finishing low past the goalkeeper. It was his 963rd career goal.
Al-Nassr controlled most of the game after that.
They had 63 per cent possession and registered 18 shots, nine of them on target. Al-Hazem managed just four attempts and struggled to get forward for long stretches.
Ronaldo struck again in the 67th minute following a quick move around the edge of the area. He guided the ball home for his second of the night, taking his career tally to 964 goals.
Kingsley Coman and Angelo Gabriel also scored as Al-Nassr completed a comfortable win.
The victory lifts Al-Nassr back to first place and keeps the pressure firmly on their title rivals as the season enters a decisive phase.
