President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries to fill existing vacancies within the Federal Civil Service.
The announcement was made by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, through a statement released by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations, on Monday in Abuja.
According to the statement, the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are: Ibrahim Ozi (Federal Capital Territory), Ezemama Chidiebere (Imo State), Garba Usman (North Central), Mohammed Ishiyaku (North East), and Ukaire Chigbowu (South East).
Walson-Jack explained that the selection process was “rigorous and transparent,” reflecting the Tinubu administration’s “commitment to meritocracy and excellence” in the Civil Service.
She urged the appointees to apply their knowledge, skills, and experience to enhance efficiency and service delivery, thereby advancing the government’s broader development goals.
The Head of Service also commended President Tinubu for “his unwavering dedication to transparency, merit, and professionalism,” noting that the new appointments underscore the administration’s vision of building a competent and results-driven public service capable of meeting the expectations of Nigerians.
