Super Falcons of Nigeria
Football enthusiasts in Aba are confident that the Super Falcons will win their 10th title at the upcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The fans in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) expressed their optimism after the team’s impressive performance in their pre-friendly matches against Portugal and Ghana.
Nneka Innocent believed the Super Falcons have the determination and unity to win the trophy.
“We have young players who are hungry for glory, and my only advice is for the players to put the friendly match results aside and pay attention to the WAFCON matches,” she said.
Ndudim Isaac is convinced that the Falcons will maintain their supremacy over other African countries.
“For the Super Falcons to beat one of the best teams in Africa, Ghana by 3-1, they will top their group and defeat other teams to get to the final,” he said.
Ugochukwu Obasi urged the team to stay focused throughout the tournament.
“The Super Falcons are the favourite to win the trophy. I urge the team to be focused throughout the tournament and treat all teams equally, starting from the first match to the final,” he said.
The Super Falcons will face Tunisia in their first group B match, followed by matches against Botswana and Algeria.
