Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, has extended warm greetings to officers, soldiers, ratings, airmen, and civilian staff of the Nigerian Armed Forces on the occasion of Eid el-Maulud.
In a statement released by Brig.-Gen. Tukur Gusau, Director of Defence Information, on Friday in Abuja, Musa highlighted the significance of the celebration as a moment to honor the Prophet’s life and teachings.
“Eid el-Maulud offers us a chance to reflect on the Prophet’s message of compassion, service, and humility,” Musa said, encouraging personnel to use the occasion to strengthen their commitment to unity, loyalty, and duty.
He urged them to embody the Prophet’s values, stating, “Just as the Prophet brought hope and good tidings, we must promote peaceful coexistence and optimism within our ranks and across Nigeria.”
Musa reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ dedication to safeguarding national unity and fostering peace.
“Guided by the Prophet’s principles, we remain steadfast in protecting lives, upholding the rule of law, and supporting Nigeria’s collective prosperity,” he added.
The CDS called on troops to continue serving with integrity, professionalism, and unwavering dedication.
