PATRICK ABANG Calabar –

The Chairman of Cross River State Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Ambassador Ogar Osim has commended the Youth Lobby Group for organizing a monumental initiative to bring together about 50,000 young people across the South-South region for a phenomenal discussion and sensitization on increased youth participation in politics, governance, business and nation-building.

Mr. Ogar, who gave the commendation in a statement, said ‘The all-important summit tagged ‘The Future is Now’ is apt as it is now imperative for leaders across the board to engage the youths meaningfully and change the narrative since the youths are not only the leaders of tomorrow’s but today’.

According to him, “giving the positive impact of this summit slated to hold on Saturday 19th February 2022 at the Esuene Sports Stadium in Calabar, the leadership of IPAC in the state calls on respective political parties, institutions, NGOs and groups to encourage massive participation of youths and leaders across the state.

“IPAC also request that participants to exhibit a high level of civility, responsibility and discipline as we condemn violence and lawlessness during and after the summit”, he said in the statement.
