Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has approved the state’s right to host the coming Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) national media summit in the state
The governor gave the approval while he played host to the National President of NUJ Comrade Alhassan Yahaya at on Monday.
The governor while responding to the request by the NUJ to hold the event in Taraba also thanked the journalists for their continued support and emphasized that his administration remains open to constructive criticism.
Kefas reaffirmed his commitment to executing development projects that will position Taraba as a model for other states in the country.
The governor while approving the NUJ’s request to host a national media summit in Taraba therefore also pleaded that the submit should hold after the Taraba State local government election, which is billed to be conducted November 8th 2025
Earlier during his remark, Yahaya commended the governor for his security architecture been established in the state. He said the governor has significantly improved safety and stability across the state.
