School attacks: PGF demands the formation of security posts in schools

The Director-General of Progressives Governors Forum, PGF, Dr. Salihu Lukman, has called for the establishment of security posts in schools to check the current spate of abductions.

In a statement, Dr. Lukman observed that the efficiency with which the abductions of the school children were carried out was worrisome.

Dr. Lukman maintained that the situation was no longer acceptable, where Nigerian children were either potential criminals or victims.

He argued that the military and other security measures alone would not successfully address the problem of insecurity in the country.

Dr. Lukman said an aggressive approach in the fight against poverty is the surest way of entrenching peaceful coexistence amongst the people.
