Former Gubernatorial aspirant in Adamawa State, Dr. Umar Ardo, has described late Chief Medan Teneke, the Sardaunan Batta as a patriot and true lover of democracy whose political views were all encompassing, devoid of ethnic and religious considerations.
Ardo said in a statement on Thursday that it was with a deep sense of shock and a heart full of sorrow that he received the sad news of the
Chief Teneke, who died “at a trying time when he is most needed in the noble struggle to attain good leadership to salvage the people of Adamawa state from the debilitating illness of corruption, dishonesty and incapacity.”
“He will be most missed,” Dr. Ardo lamented.
“On behalf of myself, members of my family and associates, I most sincerely condole his wife, family members, HRM the Hamman Batta, the entire people of Batta kingdom and all his friends and political associates,” he said.
He also prayed to God Almighty “to give us all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of our dear prince,” adding that may the gentle soul of late Chief Teneke rest in perfect peace.
