NEMA commends North-East humanitarian workers organisation in Borno

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), North East Zonal Office Maiduguri has lauded the efforts of The Mon Club International, an organisation formed by humanitarian workers, aimed at providing relief materials to victims of insurgency.

The Acting Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Mrs. Wagami Lydia Madu gave the commendation on Sunday at the official flag off of Mon Club International’s project, tagged ‘Project 100k’.

NATIONAL ACCORD reports that the organization’s project is expected to provide households products such as soap for 100, 000 (one hundred thousand) households of IDPs in Borno state.

Some of the beneficiaries receiving the relief items during the flag off of project 100k in Borno State.

During the flagging off activity at kusheri filin ball, 1900 Households, benefitted from the host community, while other liberated communities from Kala Balge, kukawa Nganzai, Magumeri and Monguno LGAs of the state have also benefitted from the exercise.

Earlier, The Acting Zonal Coordinator extended the goodwill message of the Director General, NEMA, AVM Muhammadu Muhammed to all the humanitarian workers providing services to the distressed person’s in the North east and the country at large.

She however promised to collaborate with the organization in providing humanitarian services in the North East.
